The Bishop of Rome, or Pope, is the absolute leader of the worldwide Catholic Church and the Roman Empire. The Bishop of Rome is elected by the College of Cardinals and holds the position for a lifetime or until retirement. The current office-holder is Pope Bardarus Bismarck.
